Computer Parts Supplier

What computer store do you trust to buy Computer parts?

I want to build my son that is going to college, a nice computer. I was told that I should go to Frys because, if I need to return something, it would be much easier than to return parts online. What do you think?

  1. Newegg.com Best Buy isn't bad either. There's no Fry's near me so I have no basis for comparison.
  2. Tiger direct has always came thru for me, quick shipping, anything I needed to return I had no problems with. One word of advice tho, dont waste time on the rebate items. You only ever see a third of the rebates.
  3. harvey norman and dick smiths are good choices
  4. I have purchased parts from Fry's brick and mortar store as well as from them online. I have never had a problem getting anything replaced or returned. I have also purchased from Tiger Direct, Newegg, 3B Tech, and several other online stores - never had a problem with them either. In the event of a problem, would you rather mail it back or drive it back to the store?
  5. Costco has some nice deals on computers. Than there is Staples, Best Buy, Circuit City, PC Richard's. I would go on all their websites and compare prices and then go the stores.
  6. buy from newegg - online store and also check micro center - store and online. i build a lot of pcs and i buy from newegg. but recently i bought new 17 cpus . they and i tb western digital harddisks were cheaper at micro center. i hope i helped
