Computer Parts Supplier

I have a computer on sale on Craigslist and I've never sold anything on there before and?

I have a potential buyer for it, so the sale is pending until tomorrow evening. I just received and email from someone else who is interested who lives in the same area and is willing to buy for it TODAY. What do i do? What you people do? Should i just sell it to the guy who lives in my area and is willing to pay for it today?

5. Well, a lot of people go by the rule that whoever gets their quickest wins... Me, I go by the rule that whoever I promise it to first gets it, even if they can't pick it up for a few days. I know a lot of people see that as stupid, but I'd rather be nice and not screw someone over than get my money a day or two sooner. It's kinda just up to you, and who you are. But if you really, really need the money now, like for rent or something, I would probably go with the guy who is willing to come today, otherwise I would wait.
6. That's what I would do, quicker way to get the money your looking for I suppose. You could always have him wait a little longer as well and see if another potential buyer is coming up and might be willing to pay a little more. Be careful with Craigslist though, it isn't as safe as people think it is.
7. inform em both that you will sell it on a first come first serve basis. first person with cash in hand, maybe the first buyer will arrange to meet up early
8. that's all up to you if i were you id sell to the one who is paying more lol its not like ebay where they give you feedback they cant do that on Craig's list so just sell to whom ever your comfortable with selling to and who ever is paying more lol but again discretion is all up to you
9. Depends on what you said to the first "potential" buyer. If you set the appointment already, then the more decent thing to do is to wait until tomorrow evening to see if that will work out. However, I don't see anything morally wrong with just selling it to the other guy today. If you do, let the other person know. Computers are everywhere, so he won't have trouble with looking for another.
10. The old saying is "A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush" so I would go with the one ready to buy. However, if he comes to your house be sure there are other people present.
11. As a seller, you need to uphold your reputation just in case you decide to sell more. So if you promised it to one person, than thats who you should sell it to. Just let the other person know that if it doesn't work out then you would be more than happy to sell it to him/her. If your worried about who lives closer, it really doesn't matter, it's still up to the buyer to pick it up.
